Eagle Grove Historical Society

Eagle Grove Museum Project

In 1903 the Carnegie Library was
built with a grant of $10,000 from
philanthropist, Andrew Carnegie.
The residents of Eagle Grove of
that time knew the importance of
learning, reading and preserving
the past.
Today the building is called the
Eagle Grove Museum and holds
many artifacts and documents of
Eagle Grove, Wright County and
Iowa history. It is the mission of
the Eagle Grove Historical Society
to preserve this building so
current and future generations
can learn of our rich heritage.
Bricks will be placed around the
outside of the building, and funds
will be used to restore the
building.
